Nyiko Beguin (nee-koh bay-gan) started making music when he was seven years old. He pulls from a wonderfully eclectic list of influences. Initially focusing on hip-hop, then later branching out into improvisational piano, pop punk, and more recently electro-folk rock.

As a solo performer, Beguin has been known to take command of an audience with energy and grace. Also performing alongside a full band and with several side projects, Beguin has served as support for MSTRKFT, Vetiver, Beach Fossils, Ingrid Michaelson, Thao with The Get Down Stay Down and more.
As an artist that has the ability to meld genres and accommodate a wide listenership, he stays true to his passion and sound, but takes note on the ever-changing environment of music and art.
